We are so fortunate to live in a state with great activities and festivals all year long. April is an awesome time to attend a festival or special event. We’ve narrowed our April 2019 list down to a few events that sounded extra interesting.

You don’t want to miss out on the world’s largest oceanfront FREE Blues Festival at Jacksonville Beach’s SeaWalk Pavilion. The three-day event headlines local, national, and regionals blues artists on two stages. An estimated 125,000 fans are in attendance each year, so don’t forget to purchase VIP passes if one of your favorite artists is performing. Pensacola Jazz Fest (Pensacola)
The Pensacola Jazz Fest is a two-day FREE family-oriented event held from 10am – 7pm, April 6-7 at Seville Square in historic downtown Pensacola. Food vendors will be available for purchase all event long. Do not forget to bring your own lawn chairs this year as they will not be provided. Florida Film Festival (Orlando)
Now in its 28th year, this Central Florida event presents 182 films … 35 with Florida connections. The ten day festival is an opportunity for film lovers to mingle with filmmakers and celebrities over hand-crafted cocktails and great food. Venues include the Enzian, 1300 S. Orlando Ave., Maitland, and Regal Winter Park Village Stadium 20, 510 N. Orlando Ave., Winter Park. Individual film tickets cost $12. The Annual Delray Beach Affair (Delray Beach)
The Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce is celebrating their 57th Annual Delray Affair on April 12 – 14. The Delray Affair is the largest arts and crafts festival in the Southeast! Make sure to take time within this three-day event to stroll the 12 city blocks full of 600 vendors selling their fine arts and great crafts! delrayaffair.com

Zoo World is hosting an extra special event April 13-14. A spring celebration for the kids WITHOUT plastics. Instead of your typical Easter egg hunt (where the Easter eggs are plastic), they will release ladybugs, recycle crafts, tortoise races, baby zoo animals and so much more! Earth Day 5K (Key West)
No one needs an excuse to visit Key West … the 23rd Annual Earth Day 5k run/walk starts at 8am which leaves the rest of the day to explore one the most unique places on Planet Earth. Save money with early registration, plus the first 100 contestants to sign up receive a free T-shirt. Mount Dora Blueberry Festival (Mount Dora)
Mount Dora is bursting with in their 4th Annual Blueberry Festival April 27-28 at Lake Dora at Elizabeth Evans Park. There will be over 100 vendors available along with live entertainment, kids’ activities and, of course, local blueberries! You do not want to miss out on the blueberry pie eating contest! 41st Annual Siesta Fiesta (Siesta Key)
Two hundred of the nation’s most talented artists and crafters will be in attendance showcasing their work. There is nothing better than free admission and a stroll along the beach with enjoyable weather and company.
