Nothing beats these Florida Vinaigrette Recipes paired with farm-fresh salad greens when you are in the mood for something healthy! The vinaigrette complements the greens.
We have several recipes using Florida citrus — lemons, oranges, and even grapefruit. They add a tangy flavor to the dressing that shouts “fresh” for spring and summer salads. You can use them for marinades, too.

Florida Lemon Vinaigrette
This lemon vinaigrette is our go-to choice for almost any night. The fresh lemon juice completely enhances the fresh lettuce. We usually triple the recipe, so we have plenty on hand.
Florida Lemon Vinaigrette Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice (½ lemon)
- 2-3 Tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- ½ teaspoon lemon zest
- ½ tsp. of Dijon Mustard
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ⅛ tsp. pepper
Instructions
- Pour the lemon juice into a bowl and add the olive oil, mixing with a whisk.
- Add Dijon mustard also whisking to emulsify.
- Mix in the lemon zest, salt & pepper.
Florida Orange Vinaigrette
We change it up for something different and use orange juice to add a different flavor. Plus, this very light dressing can also be used as a marinade.
Florida Orange Vinaigrette Recipe
Ingredients
- Juice of 1 large Florida orange
- 4 Tablespoons of rice vinegar
- ¼ Cup of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pour orange, rice vinegar into a bowl and whisk in the vegetable oil.
- Whisk in the honey and salt/pepper.
White Wine Vinaigrette
If we are making an extra-special meal, we’ll use this. The wine adds some depth of flavor.
White Wine Vinaigrette Recipe
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup white wine
- ¼ Cup fresh squeezed lemons (2-3 lemons)
- ¾ Cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon honey
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Pour the wine lemon juice into a mixing cup and pour in the olive oil, whisking.
- Then add the honey, salt, and pepper.
- Whisk.
Soy Citrus Vinaigrette
If we make an Asian-inspired dish and have a salad on the menu, we use this soy citrus vinaigrette recipe to complement the meal. Additionally, you can use this vinaigrette as a marinade.
Soy Citrus Vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 3 Tablespoons of fresh grapefruit juice
- 1 Tablespoon of low sodium soy sauce
- 3 Tablespoons of Safflower oil
- 1 Tablespoon of fresh lime juice (½ lime)
- 2 Teaspoons of honey
- 1 Tablespoon of rice vinegar
Instructions
- Add the first four ingredients into a bowl and whisk in the Safflower oil.
- Add the honey and whisk.
