To start out the new year, Jeanine Taylor Folk Art in downtown Sanford has a brand new art show at their gallery! You can see the new gallery – Gratitude – New Art by Theresa Disney, either in-person or virtually online. Born out of a period of intense creativity, Theresa’s latest collection is a testament to her fearless originality and also her indomitable spirit. Due to the pandemic, the artist will not be present at the opening reception. (Ms. Disney lives in St. Louis, but we consider her an Honorary Authentic Floridian). The show will be available to view online and also in person at 6 pm on January 23rd. Disney also revels in her signature irreverent wit to create a world where no one is taken too seriously, and beauty abounds. Portraits (human and otherwise) grace the gallery walls alongside brilliant florals and snapshots of romanticized daily life. As a self-proclaimed “visual storyteller,” Disney gives voice to her imagination through any medium she can get her hands on. Being an artist is all she’s ever known. Rising early and working until exhaustion sets in, she goes to bed thankful and wakes up grateful to be able to create.Covid-19 Precautions
