Checkout Florida State Park Admission with Your Library Card

Last Updated on November 17, 2022

There are so many cool things that you can do with a Florida public library card. Different libraries around the state offer interesting perks and features for their cardholders, such as a library of things to checkout from (karaoke machines, kayaks, power tools, and more) at Leon County Public Library or a collection of online educational classes and workshops at Jacksonville Public Library.

This summer, another awesome feature that you will be able to access with your library card is FREE admission to Florida State Parks through the Real Florida Reader pass. With the Real Florida Reader program, Florida State Parks, and the Florida Department of State, Division of Library and Information Services have partnered together in a collaboration that encourages Florida residents to visit their libraries and state parks.

There are 175 state parks in Florida. With the exceptions of Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife, Skyway Pier, and Weeki Wachee Springs state parks, the Real Florida Reader pass provides free admission to the other 172 parks!
