Orlando Auto Museum – Orlando
Located in Orlando, Dezerland Park is Florida’s largest indoor attraction.
The park boasts many different things to do, from go-karting to bowling, arcade games, mini-golf, a trampoline park, and more, including the Orlando Auto Museum.
It’s a great option to visit this museum in the heat of summer or on a rainy day.
Adult admission to the museum is $31.90. The museum has the largest private car collection in the world, including various collections.
There is an entire exhibit with vehicles from big-name movies like Batman, Harry Potter, Back to the Future, and Ghostbusters, to name just a few that can be seen here.
If you are a car lover, you will enjoy the international collections on display with cars from Cuba, Israel, and France.
According to the Guinness World Records, some unique cars are on display at the museum, including the world’s longest car.
The car measures over 100 feet long and includes a Jacuzzi, helicopter pad, and seating for up to 75 people.

Sarasota Classic Car Museum – Sarasota
The Sarasota Classic Car Museum is a car museum located near New College in Sarasota. It is recognized as the second oldest continuously operating antique car museum in the United States.
The museum has exhibits of antique cars, European cars, and classics. The exhibits rotate and include cars from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
UPDATE: The museum was told they needed to vacate by the end of June 2023 by their landlord. As of November 2023, they were still at the location offering a Moving Sale. As soon as we hear where they are moving, we will update this article.

Tampa Bay Automobile Museum – Pinellas Park
The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum is located in Pinellas Park. The museum has a collection of vintage cars and exhibits about their history and engineering.
The gallery space spans 19,000 square feet and includes antique cars from France, Great Britain, Japan, and other places worldwide.
Learn about the pioneering of front-wheel drive and rear-engine cars from the 1920s and 1930s in this museum that blends art, science, and automotive history.

Tallahassee Automobile Museum – Tallahassee
The Tallahassee Automobile Museum has been open since 1996 and is home to one of the country’s largest automobile collections.
It is a non-profit geared toward educating visitors on the art and history of automobiles.
The museum displays over 150 automobiles, including vintage automobiles like an 1860 horse-drawn funeral hearse and three different Batmobiles.
In addition to automobiles, the museum has collections of historical memorabilia like Native American artifacts, antique appliances, pianos, and more.

Dauer Museum of Classic Cars – Sunrise
The Dauer Museum of Classic Cars is in Sunrise, a city in South Florida.
Focused on promoting the history and preservation of classic cars, the museum has over 55 on display.
See cars from 1906 to 2020 in pristine condition, including brands like Cadillac, Rolls Royce, Bentley, and some European cars.
The museum experience is often compared to entering a time machine, allowing you to stroll through the decades and view beautifully restored cars in era-specific settings – like a replica of a Texaco gasoline station, circa 1934.
The experience puts you right in the history of the automotive industry.

American Muscle Car Museum – Melbourne
The American Muscle Car Museum is a non-profit museum located in Melbourne. It is not open to the public; rather, it is open for non-profit fundraisers and charitable events.
Check the website for their upcoming events schedule if you want to visit.
The 123,000-square-foot complex includes over 300 cars, from classic American muscle cars from the classic 1950s to 1970s to modern muscle cars.
The museum displays a variety of Indianapolis 500 race cars, the most extensive Yenko car collection in the world, Mustangs, Corvettes, Porches, Firebirds, Trans Ams, and much more.

Elliott Museum – Stuart
Elliot Museum originally opened in Stuart, Florida, in 1961. In 2013, a new, larger building was opened at the same site.
The museum has a variety of exhibits that include baseball, Americana, artwork, and of course, vintage cars.
Wheels of Change is a permanent exhibit at Elliot Museum that teaches visitors about commercial and personal transportation development.
The exhibit features a three-level car racking system unique to Elliot Museum and holds over 50 vehicles.
The system moves the cars down and rotates them on a turntable.
Check out recreations of vehicles over 100 years old and classics like a restored 1954 Chevrolet Corvette and a 1955 Ford Thunderbird convertible.

Motorsports Hall of Fame – Daytona
The Motorsports Hall of Fame is a museum that showcases vehicles from every form of motorsport.
This Daytona Museum displays cars, bikes, powerboats, and planes.
See a great variety of vehicles and learn about Motorsports Hall of Fame inductees such as Amelia Earhart. There is plenty to see here at this museum celebrating its vehicles and inductees.

Brumos Collection – Jacksonville
The Brumos Collection is a Jacksonville museum with interactive experiences.
Visitors learn about the early days of automotive design, automotive racing, and the drivers behind the wheel.
The exhibits include tons of memorabilia of historical significance, like engines and vintage racing equipment.
See vintage photos, stat sheets specs, and more to teach you about each vehicle.
An entire section is dedicated to Porsche race cars from 1953 to 2017 including trophies and other awards.

Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing – Ocala
Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing is an Ocala car museum dedicated to the history of drag racing.
There is an International Drag Racing Hall of Fame founded in 1990. It honors individuals who contributed to the triumphs of drag racing.
The hall honors car builders, crew chiefs, and others, in addition to drivers.

Revs Institute – Naples
In addition to being a car museum, Revs Institute is a place to see society through the lens of the automotive industry.
Over 100 restored vintage cars and vehicles, including an 1896 two-cylinder wagonette, are here.

I vaguely recall as a kid in the 60’s and 70’s vacationing at Silver Springs there was a cool Car museum there. I’m guessing it’s sadly long gone as well.
