Castronovo Chocolate Factory prides itself on discovering the absolute best chocolate experience.

Denise Castronovo, the creator, is the only U.S. female chocolatier ever to be honored at the International Chocolate Awards.

Starting in 2013, Denise and her husband sold their Florida chocolate at the farmer’s market, and two years later, they opened their store in Stuart. They also only use imported cacao beans from Latin America.

If you visit her store in person, you’ll find not only chocolate bars but also truffles, hot chocolate, and chocolate chip cookies on Thursdays and Fridays at lunchtime. Get there early.

Kermit’s Key Lime Pie’s namesake Kermit Carpenter began selling smoothies in front of Papa’s Restaurant in Key West over 26 years ago.

He was looking for a new adventure and decided to open Kermit’s Key West Key Lime Shoppe with his sister Anita and her husband John.

Before the shop opened, Kermit and Anita brainstormed everything they could think of that could contain Key Lime, which became the blueprint for the store.

There are now two locations in Key West to enjoy Kermit’s Key Lime Pie, including their most famous offering, the Key Lime Pie on a stick dipped in Belgian chocolate! Visit them on Elizabeth Street (the original), Duval Street, or online!

There’s also a retail store, production facility, and showroom in Deland (Volusia County).
