Miami Spice Restaurant Months – Miami
When: August 1st, 2024 until September 30th, 2024
Where: Various participating Miami restaurants
More information: Miami Spice Restaurant Months is a two-month-long dining experience organized by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau’s (GMCVB)
Each of the 150+ participating restaurants creates three-course lunch/brunch and dinner menus at a fixed price — $30/$35 for brunch and lunch, and $45/$60 for dinner.
This event is an excellent opportunity to explore the Miami food scene. Miami Spice celebrates its 23rd year in 2024.

Frida and Her Garden – Naples

Where: Naples Botanical Garden, 4820 Bayshore Dr., Naples, FL 34112
More information: Frida and Her Garden celebrates the iconic Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo.
The exhibition recreates pieces of Kahlo’s garden in Coyoacán, Mexico City. See sculptures and plants that influenced and inspired her work.

Permutations: The 2023 Annual Summer Exhibition – Tallahassee

55th Annual Wausau Funday and Possum Festival – Chipley

This unique celebration of possums includes live entertainment, a parade, games, and more. (No possums are hurt at this event).

DanceAfrica Miami 2024 – Miami Gardens

Tiki Fest – Punta Gorda

The event includes live music and dance performances featuring Hawaiian dancers. This celebration is family-friendly, and admission is free.

13th Annual Great Southern Summer Restaurant Week – Pensacola

More information: Great Southern Restaurant Week is another excellent August culinary event.
Five Pensacola restaurants host three-course dinners starting at 5 pm each night. Diners can enjoy some of the best dishes in the city – all for $33 per person.

Key West Lobsterfest – Key West

Jacksonville Caribbean Carnival – Jacksonville
When: August 8th, 2024 through August 11th, 2024

More information: The Jacksonville Caribbean Carnival is a huge celebration throughout the weekend.
The main event is Carnival Day, packed with plenty of things to do. Enjoy food, music, dancing, and a parade at this fun cultural event.
The Jacksonville Carnival began in 2005 and has been held at various locations in Jacksonville annually since then.

Bee Conscious Honey Bee Day and Craft Fair – Spring Hill

There are guest speakers and sessions to learn about beekeeping and gardening. However, the main focus is bees.

5th Annual Space Coast Wing Battle – Melbourne

More information: The Space Coast Wing Battle is a ticketed, 21+ event that includes unlimited wing samplings, domestic beer, and hard seltzers.
Enjoy delicious food and drinks while listening to live music. Event tickets start at $50 per person.

Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining – Orlando
When: Beginning August 18th through October 1st
Where: Various participating Orlando restaurants
More information: Magical Dining is a 6-week culinary event that begins on August 18th.
It’s a great way to check out Orlando’s food scene, with some of the city’s best restaurants offering fixed-price three-course dinners.
Participating restaurants exclusively offer $40 or $60 menus.
This year’s event benefits The Lifeboat Project, with $1 from each meal going to this important charity.

12th Annual Great St. Pete Cupcake Contest – St. Petersburg

More information: Join St. Pete’s search for the best cupcake during this annual event that includes up to 100 contestants.

Tallahassee Beer Festival
When: August 10th, 2024
Where: The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, 505 W Pensacola St, Tallahassee, FL 32301
More information: Your 6th Anniversary of the Tallahassee Beer Festival ticket gets unlimited samples from 110 breweries — national, regional, and home brewers.
They expect more than 300 different fermentations, from ales and lagers to ciders and sparking sodas and wine.
All net proceeds go directly back to participating member agencies of the United Partners for Human Services.
MUST BE 21+ TO PARTICIPATE.
