Putting Fourth of July events aside, we’ve narrowed our list of Florida events in July to 13 of our personal favorites that you won’t want to miss.
These events happen to be sprinkled throughout the Sunshine State, so we recommend planning a weekend getaway and exploring the surrounding areas.
Key Lime Festival – Key West
When: July 3rd, 2024 through July 7th, 2024

More Information: Five days of culinary events for every taste, including favorites from past years like the Key Lime Cocktail Sip and Stroll, Key Lime Pie Hop, and new choices for Key Lime lovers.

Hernando Beach Front Porch Art Walk – Hernando Beach
When: July 6th, 2024
Where: Shoal Line Boulevard, Hernando Beach, FL
More information: Explore art and look at the possibilities of waterfront living simultaneously. Starting at noon, there is a boat parade, raffles, and food to purchase.

Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival – Jupiter and Royal Palm Beach
When: July 11th, 2024 through July 14th and July 18th, 2024 through July 21st, 2024

Bring comfy blankets and chairs for these outdoor performances. Outside food is permitted, and the events will also have food trucks.

Sounds of Downtown – Tallahassee

Where: Downtown Tallahassee

Lower Keys Underwater Music Festival – Looe Key
When: July 12th, 2024 through July 13th, 2024
Where: Looe Key Reef, Looe Key
More information: Learn about environmentalism, conversation, and our wonderful coral reefs at this unique Florida July event.
Friday night includes a gathering at Mote Marine Laboratory’s Elizabeth Moore International Center for Coral Reef Research and Restoration, where tours are hosted and information is shared regarding reef restoration efforts.
On Saturday, there’s an underwater concert at Looe Key Reef, featuring a local radio station’s music broadcast on underwater speakers.

Mango Festival – Miami
When: July 13th, 2024 through July 14th, 2024

More information: It’s time to celebrate all things mango. At the Mango Festival, you can enjoy food tastings, shopping for mango trees, cooking demos, classes, and more.

St. Andrews Bay Scallop Rodeo – Panama City

Gainesville Food Truck Rally – Gainesville

Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament

Hemingway Days – Key West

More information: Ernest Hemingway was a famous American writer who lived in Key West, Florida, for part of his life.
July 21st marks the author’s 125th birthday celebrated in Key West with various events, including a street fair, an exhibit of memorabilia, a 5K race, and most notably, a Hemingway Look-Alike Contest.

Cool Art Show – St. Petersburg

More information: PAVA’s (Professional Association of Visual Artists) 33rd Annual Cool Art Show features collections from various artists. The event also includes artist demonstrations and a kids’ activity area.
