Because many Puerto Ricans relocated to Miami from the island in the 1950s, this Miami area became known as El Barrio (“The Neighborhood” in Spanish).

Wynwood is an open-air museum unto itself. However, this once-industrial area has become a hotspot for art galleries, trendy clubs, and some of Miami’s greatest restaurants.

The Wynwood Walls

Wynwood Walls are a must-see. Situated in the core of Wynwood, Wynwood Walls has turned the district’s former industrial structures into a continuously evolving outdoor art museum … that keeps expanding.

It’s the first and only outdoor museum dedicated to street art in Miami.
