Altamonte Springs, Florida, is a suburban city in Seminole County.
Located approximately 9 miles from Wekiwa Springs State Park and 7 miles from Winter Park, Altamonte Springs is also the next-door neighbor to Maitland and Eatonville.
This Central Florida town is known for its various shopping centers, restaurants, and outdoor activities.
It’s also home to one of the most popular “buildings” that is featured in endless Florida Memes and has become the source of many jokes in the Central Florida community.
The Majesty Building is commonly called the I-4 Eyesore. The 18-story, 300,000-square-foot began construction in January 2001 and has sat as a shell of a building for decades.

Congo River Golf
The Congo River Golf attraction is a Florida mini-golf chain themed after the Congo River in Africa.
Enjoy playing golf around waterfalls, caves, and tropical forests at this excellent place.
With live gators on site and different games and places to explore on the property, visiting the Congo River Golf is a great way to do fun things with the entire family.

Lake Lotus Park
Lake Lotus Park is a nature preserve in Altamonte Springs with plenty of things to do. The 150-acre park has over 120 acres of woods and wetlands around Lake Lotus.
There is a playground area, picnic pavilions, and nature trails on raised boardwalks to enjoy in this great place to be around nature.

Uptown Altamonte is the City of Altamonte Springs’ business and urban residential district.

Fiesta Cancun is a Mexican restaurant in Altamonte Springs where you feel like you’ve been transported to a fiesta in Cancun (hence, the name).
The decor alone is worth the visit. It’s a feast for the eyes.
Additionally, it’s a feast for your belly. The menu is full of authentic Mexican dishes and drinks. We’ve never had a meal we haven’t enjoyed. The fajitas are exceptional.
Plus, they have lots of great vegetarian options. If you love all things HOT HOT HOT, make sure you order the spicy salsa.
