Major League Baseball (MLB) spring training in Florida dates back over 100 years.
It is a series of practices and games that take place before the official season. Spring training in Florida typically runs between the end of February through the end of March.
There are two spring training leagues in the United States: Florida’s Grapefruit League and Arizona’s Cactus League.
Fiffteen Major League Baseball teams have been drawn to the state of Florida due in part to its warm weather.
