The selection of Florida events in January 2024 is bigger and better than ever. However, some of the best ones run on the same weekend, so it can be challenging to decide where to go.
Our goal is to give our initial list, so you can narrow down what Florida events in January 2024 are a must-attend for you.
No matter where you venture, it’s a perfect time to check out these Florida-based events and their surrounding areas.
From art shows to interesting food festivals with live entertainment and other cultural happenings, check out all the cool events that Florida has to offer this month.

15th Annual Penguin Plunge N’ Paddle – Navarre

Penguin Plunge N’ Paddle benefits Healing Paws for Warriors, a nonprofit organization that assists veterans with receiving service dogs.

Polar Bear Plunge – Pensacola Beach

More Information: Polar Bear Plunge is another fun New Year’s Day event in Northwest Florida. The event involves plunging into the Santa Rosa Sound.
Many participants come dressed in costumes like sharks, dinosaurs, and even the Grinch has been spotted.
Participants should register in advance. Proceeds from the event go to the Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Pensacola Mardi Gras Celebrations
Kick Off Celebration on the 12th Night

This annual event is also known as the Pensacola Mardi Gras Kick-Off celebration.
The New Orleans-style event has processionals led by the New Orleans Ramblers, with band marches, costumed Krewes, festive floats, and much more.

Cordova Mall Ball

37th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire – Gainesville

37th Annual Florida Manatee Festival – Crystal River

Gasparilla Pirate Fest – Tampa

It’s Just Yoga Health and Fitness Festival – Cocoa

More information: The South Florida Fair is easily the Sunshine State’s biggest and oldest January event – dating back to 1912.
This humongous fair offers all the traditional fair attractions, with carnival rides, fair food, and a lot of live entertainment options.
The 2024 fair theme is “Dive into the Fun,” which celebrates ocean and marine wildlife. Live shark shows and immersive marine experiences set this year apart with its fun and educational experiences.
